When you factor in their price they all come to yield about the same profit. Unless you get a Ghost card in which case you get hundreds or even thousands. But they're very rare.

Honestly, the best money maker is the table. People just sit and play for hours and pay you, at minimum, $7 an hour. And most buy something in the way out too.

Dedicate about 1/3 of your space to playing tables for a good passive income

all about luck really, you got a 0.2% chance of getting a ghost card, at the moment I've got 3
of them but have opened well over 1,000 packs, I've had 2 cards in the £4900 range and 1 that's over £5,000 thankfully the 2 £4900 are the same so I could sell 1 and still have 1 for completionist reasons . I've had 2 cards in the £3000 range and a few in the £2000 range and a couple also in the £1000 range I've had about 10 cards in the £500-900 range as well. and around 100 cards in the 100-300 range. these are all from opening blue orange purple and red packs.... so I guess it basically comes down to your budget, if you can afford to open the more expensive packs.
I'll agree that it's pretty much pure RNG. Every full art foil I've pulled have been from rare packs despite opening dozens of cases of epics, in fact my luck with rare packs is just better in general. I'm personally lucky if I get one card worth $100+ out of a case of epics or commons but I'll pull one out of every like 16 packs of rares.

I like the rare packs. I usually find some good stuff every day and they're relatively cheap.
Legendary packs is the only option until level 40 for epic Destiny pack. You will get the highest consistent $150+ cards

Pretty sure the packs' cost are proportional to what card value you should expect from them, on average. In other words, you should get the same % of profit from investing the same $1000 in any type of pack. (on average, because RNG will mess it up every time)

So I guess if you want to sit there and open packs for the next 3 hours, in real life, and generate the most money out of it, you should go for the most expensive packs you can buy. You won't open more packs, but you'll pay more for them and their content should be worth more. (again, on average. Which doesn't mean much with such high variance in results)
More Importantly does the rarity of the packs matter as well? because i pulled like a 1k card from a basic pack, where as my best from a legendary is like £500

Epic Destiny packs seem about equivalent to Base Legendary packs in my experience as far as average card value. Like the golds and EX sell for about the same per card as the base legendary gold and ex this seems to be true across all card border types and combinations of them as well. Being a little more expensive per pack probably means they are slightly less profitable than the base legendary but at this point I open about a 50/50 mix just for variety. My guess is the Legendary Destiny packs will be one tier above these two and be the most profitable but I have not reached them yet.

dont forget to sort album by "number"! all cards are numbered and that will let you see what cards you are missing! each card has 6 variations (basic, 1st, silver, gold,EX, and full art) followed on the right side of the album with a foil version of the 6 for a total of 12 cards for each creature with the most expensive being the full art foil. look on the creatures photo bottom right to see what pack that creature is found in! and can ONLY be found in that pack! most creatures are sorted by basic in common packs, 1st evolution in rare, 2nd evolution in epic and im assuming final evolution in legendary. (haven't opened any yet, still focusing on completing sets out of the common packs!) so really its not a question of what packs are better but what creature sets you want to complete! i'm assuming each packs type just runs the same pull rate for foils with an overall pull rate for ghost.
