You can browse the in game item value app to find out which item that is. It varies from game to game. Odds are it is one of the pack boxes or a collector's book. At very high levels, it could be a plushy too.
And to add, YES I KNOW that customers who play can also spend, but when they're just sat there playing they could be making more money if they were just purchasing items.
I'm sure this is probably a very effective way to make money in the game, and actually answers the question less pedantically than I did. I wasn't trying to start any kind of arguments, sorry if I came off that way, my point was just that purchasing inventory costs money, stocking shelves takes your own time or hiring staff, and checking people out takes your own time or hiring more staff. All of that costs money, to in turn, make some money back, whereas, purchasing a table just makes money passively, forever. If i was actually running a business, and had to choose between the two, I'd buy a table that generated infinite money for me indefinitely while I sat in the back room 100% of the time. Personally I sell a bit of everything in my shop because that's more fun, but that wasn't the question.
If it's purely about earning money through gaming tables and not for the effect on the market price for specific goods, always run the highest tournament, because you earn more money with it, even with the running cost, but don't charge more then the standard entry fee. Maybe 1-2$ cheaper, but i test this right now.
Expensive Cardboxes + Plushies are the most profitable goods + Elemental Cardboxes(like Firedeck etc.) + all kind of Sleeves + "expensive" Playmats
I would say it depends.
You yourself don't really cost money as checking out people is so fast, that you barely loose any time inbetween people.
For restocking it mostly depends on how good you are at micromanaging everything in that regard without letting people wait on the checkout. Also at some point you most likely have so many different products, that it's unlikely that anything ever runs out over the course of a full days (except for the single cards obviously and maybe board games, if you don't use multiple slots for them).
and lastly, i don't know how the respawning works in particular, but if it's possible to not reach the max amount of those 28 customers, then having most of them sit at tables like 1-1,5 hours on average, maybe earning you like 20-30 € (going off of early game), then you might prevent two other customer from spawning who would've maybe bought like two dozen products for like 50+ € of profit in the same time span and that gets even more, if you're lucky enough to pull some expensive cards yourself. These tables are for sure an easy way to make money while idling though, especially early on.
