What's the point of being able to jump?

Is there some purpose to jumping that i haven't unlocked yet?

You can jump over the play tables, for example, as just walking past tighly packed rows of them is just cumbersome

I know personally, I like being able to jump over the tables and counter sometimes. And honestly, I would be annoyed if there wasn't any jumping, just like I am annoyed that you can't crouch.

Jumping around randomly is a time honored tradition in video games. If you can include it then you should. There is no need for other reasons.

Why can you jump in real life?

You can jump because it's fun, man! Try it, seriously. Just jump around the store. Hop on the tables while people are playing and dance around on their cards.
