do you have to turn on the lights?
does it affect anything if you don't? besides your electric bill i mean. because i can see fine without them so i'd rather save if it's just for my benefit. but if it affects the customers negatively, i don't mind turning them on when it gets darker.

That said, I usually turn them on at 7pm now.

thanks! i'm probably just gonna leave it off then. my air fresheners take up enough electricity as it is!

This is how I do it. When the game gets darker around 4-5 pm, I'll first pay my bills and turn on the light. This has become my daily routine.

well, the electricity won't go up if you have the lights on when time is stopped, right? like, before the store is open and after it's closed.

Yes it does. I had the same thought so I tested it earlier today. Saved before new day with lights off and looked at bill next day. Reloaded save and turned lights on and waited a couple minutes then went to new day and looked at bill. Cost went up.

i have nyctophilia, so if i'm able to be in the dark, i prefer it, so long as there's just enough light to not hurt my eyes.

Actually it will, I've left it running for a few hours by accident and the bill gets crazy.

I figured that out when I was opening up like 200 Boxes of cards and my electricity bill was like 7K.

If your electric bill is higher then 300, you are playing the game incorrectly. 4-500 at the hiighest end.

You only need really one level 3 air freshner for 1500 bucks at enterance A and B. 1 level 2 by the checkout line just in case, and one on the other side of B. Maybe a couple level 1's in between. Honestly if everyone walks past a level 3, their stank gets vaporized in ten nano seconds. The other freshers aree there for in case one or two peeeps slip past.

You people keep moaning about the air fresheners, and I don't understand. Do I really need to make a guide or something so you all will stop virtually killing the planet because you've never played a tower defense before?

I hate to be that guy but I figured out how to crush the electric bill within my first 5-10 hours. Its barely a threat. Sometiimes I forget about it and Im like "oh no 350 buccks whatever shall I do?"

P.S you also need to make sure that your customers can only take one path. Like in a tower defense game. so they will always walk by the freshners. easy right? if you have just level ones, then put them by tables and the checkout lines, dont bother with one by the door, only level 2 and above can vaporiize fast enough.

I put 2 level ones by the door and they take care of 99% of stinky customers. *shrugs*
