I have played most of my hours on my Steam Deck. Last night, it started crashing after almost every single thing I tried to do.

specs?

It seems to only do this when the game is in focus for me. I'm on linux; Arch, if it makes a difference, not steam deck, but both are running the same proton. If I alt-tab out of the game the game runs in the background, but the moment I focus back on the game it freezes again. If I alt-tab out and can still see the game I can see things running normally again, but if I try clicking back into the game it freezes again.

I have found not using the experimental version of proton helps a lot, but it still freezes randomly.

I am saving after every sale i do because the game keeps crashing randomly. This is the only game on my computer that crashes. I have updated my drivers and everything and nothing seems to work. If anyone has any other ideas or if anyone fixed the random crashes please let us/me know.

Thanks

I've put in 60+ hours, not one crash or hang up. I'm on Windows 10 however, with a Radeon 570 graphics card and an older Intel i5 3rd gen cpu.

It helps to provide your system specs. It's also more helpful to have other data such as OS, driver versions, system temps, ram test results, drive health, crash logs ... so many variables involved, there's just not a simple answer.

The latest driver updates are not always a good thing. Sometimes earlier versions are more stable with some games. I would start with running some memory stress tests, while not 100% effective, it is a good indicator of any potential issues. Follow up with a good hard drive sector read test. A bad block on your drive can cause issues within a single program/game, if said software is occupying a bad block on your drive. While everything else seems to run fine.

Your crash logs can sometimes provide useful information. Which might point directly to a specific problem. If you are using windows, check the event viewer for the logged crash. Is your game crashing to the desktop, locking up the computer, or is it causing a blue screen of death and reboot? If it's a BSOD, then reviewing those memory dumps is also helpful.

Some developers will also have logs that are created when crap happens within their software. Reach out to them and provide whatever crash logs they might ask for. Could be an issue within the game that doesn't quite jive your system specs or your drivers. This could lead to the developer fixing an issue that may affect other gamers as well.

I could easily narrow down your problem if I were in front of your computer ... 20+ years as a computer repair shop owner. But with zero information about specs, logs, tests, etc., there's really no answer I can give.

I have the same problems, windows 10. Not a full crash but the game suddenly becomes extremely slow.

Some 13th gen Intel's have known over voltage related issues. Google for more info. IDK if that would solve your problem, or if that issue exists for you, but it is something that you should look into for starters anyway. Requires a BIOS update. Some get delivered through Windows Updates, others need to be done manually.

I am waiting for the newest bios from gigabyte. I did the August BIOS update already. when it crashes it shows a window from the game and a bar closing. the box closes so fast i can't even read what it says but it does show the TCG logo. I have ran OCCT and it all checks out.
