i use the same method on normal shelf, for example i use one side from shelf for 1 item: 8 slots cards. 8*32. or packs 8*4. people grab a bunch as well like you said 8 boxes etc. But that doesnt justify that shelf, should be bigger.
Maybe you miss understood my point. Customers are twice as likely to reach their max budget with the wide shelf. It has the potential to literally double your daily income!
i don't think program is written like that, but i will put it to a test. i think the capacity of the slot matters as long as there are enough points of sales(slots) why i think that is because cards on boxes which are 4 on the shelf in your theory should not be sold more than 4 per costumer(4 in a slot) but have them have sold up to 8. so that costumer took the same item from 2 slots. which means it doesnt matter how may capacity it has, its just storage amount whats counts in the program
