Yea, with those 2 mods I could 100% see that working, however, in the current state of the game, that's not really viable without mods. At least not efficiently.
Maybe in the future if the developer decides to add more flexibility to the opening of packs, then this could be a really good strat.
I have a question related to this. Has your experience with modding affected your ability to get achievements? I was thinking of doing this same thing.
Now you have atleast 500-1k sell the shelf you start out with for 150 and only use the small shelf (the first product in the furniture list for 150 bucks) this is by far the best shelf in the game, it can hold 48 cards or 6 boxes and with minimal space wasted, plus it stacks really well which leaves more space for other things, it is the cheapest but also the best shelf in the game by far.
Generally you want products to be 20-30% above market, if they complain too much lower it a little, you want them to state that it's a fair price and stick with that.
Singles i usually do 10-15% above market, any higher in the beginning and they simply won't buy them, keep opening packs while only selling singles, cleaners and card boxes for that 10-20$ profit margin per item, we basically never sell card packs, the margins are too low and takes too long to sell period.
Also buy figurines when you can afford it, always check market prices for each item before you buy licenses so that you can maximize profit, i wouldn't sell anything that makes any less than 10-15$ bucks per item. The higher base cost and profit per item the better it is to sell, it doesn't matter if its only a 4, 6 or 9 shelf item, we use restockers to make up for that.
The only license where i would buy a small version is legendary card packs and beyond since there's a lot of levels between them, once you unlock this open nothing but legendary packs until you get to destiny legendary.
Your goal after this is to establish a duplicate card collection so that you can sell them fast, if not caring about collecting all cards the game is almost too easy, you could probably make 100k before day 10.
I'm sitting at around 20k at day 10 and i only sell duplicates which is where 90% of my money comes from selling singles, products are just a bonus, even if you remove card tables and singles and focus on only selling products for max customers, you still make far more from singles and much faster, there's no better profit, the only downside is that it is luck based.
This is vanilla based btw, mods would make the game too easy for me, i do however use max speed for pack opening which only saves rl time, profit wise it doesn't matter since we're opening packs after 9.
Playing with a few QoL mods from day 1 and all achievements worked perfectly fine, so far.
Yea the fact that u have to repay the acquisition fee again, even if you have just hired him is kinda crazy. I was not expecting that.
On the other hand, it may be worth expanding the store even if you're not using it all. I have noticed that number of customers increase with the space upgrades, not with the amount of items/shelves in your store.
I was doing some tests and with just 1 cash register (near the door), and 1 basic shelve (the cheapest one, also near the door) I was getting the same customers as with a fully stocked with products, shelves and cards.
So im not really sure how that exactly works
Not everyone enjoys games in the same way. Some people, like me, enjoy squeezing the most out of every little detail, to learn how the game really works in the background and how to min-max the most out of the game.
It's not about installing a mod that give us 1kk$. It's about understanding the core and then using the information to enrich the game even more.
Interesting, some other user (I believe it was @taomastercu) mentioned something similar.
It would be interesting if you could provide more info about how exactly your strat works:
1-Roughly, how many packs you open per day? And when you open them?
2-If you are selling other goods besices packs, does this not affect your sales? It feels to me that they would buy a lot of "trash"
3-How many card tables you own? And what's your strat about the HUGE price fluctuation that occurs with singles
4-Off topic. Someone mentioned that ghost cards on display increased card sales. Have you noticed that in any way?
1- As many as i can afford, i usually leave some money on the table for products.
2- I never sell packs, not even legendary ones because what i get from opening them is always better long term. Let's say you want to sell 64 legendary packs for 10$ each (in most games it's gonna be around 8 or 9) that is 640$ in gross profit. However if you open these packs instead sometimes you might lose a bit, but all it takes is one high value card to make all that back and more, plus you get other cards and experience also.
3. I start with 1, when i have around 3-5k i buy a second, i usually want to have atleast 3, don't buy too many though but enough so you don't have to constantly put cards on them.
Another trick i forgot to mention is that when opening packs stick with the same rarity until you unlock legendary which in most cases will be commons, the reason for this is to collect as many duplicates as possible, if you change rarity you change your collect of duplicates which will slow you down considerably, commons might be worth a bit less but having more duplicates is always better.
If you do not care about collecting cards, you do not need duplicates and then swapping rarity is better of course.
At the end of day 3 i have 5.5k, 1 card shelf, 1 small shelf, 1 playing table and my album is worth 27k with several high value cards, but i only sell duplicates. I did get extremely lucky this game and got one duplicate of a 1k card which never happened before, but if you follow this guide you should end up with around 3-4k at the end of day 3.
yeah i've had 100+ customers with no space expansions, it's definitely not tied to that at all. More expansions mean higher bills, i only expand when i need it.
