Profits with single cards?
I keep hearing on the forums how everyone is making great profits from selling single cards...
How many packs do you guys open to get those high value cards?

I seem to mostly be getting 20-30$ cards, and that's maybe 3-4 times when opening full box of 64 packs. Otherwise it's all 0-5$.

The most I ever got was 800$ and I'm on day 40.
Definitely single cards are not paying off for me if you count money spent on boxes of 64.

Any tips?
Thanks

You've just had a bad run of luck, I'd say maybe one case of 64 packs out of ten don't turn a profit for me. Sometimes the best card I get out of a box ends up being like $20 but usually I'm getting non foil full arts at the least ranging from $60-150+. Foil EX cards from legendary packs have been my most consistent money maker, most of them are worth over $1000 and I'm usually pulling one of those every few boxes. It's all rng though, there's not really anything you can do to guarantee you're turning a profit on singles.

I've tried the singles strategy, but it just doesn't work for me, I suppose it could work if you open 100 boxes before opening the shop, but it's too tedious. Not only because you need to change the cards on display every day, update the price, and get the right buyer with the right money to come in, but also because in the end when opening packs it's all down to luck.

That said, it's true that singles can be very profitable, for example, with a 10k investment you can get around 60-65k. (Tested with Basic Card Box (8)).
But it is simply too heavy to do it continuously.

What works best at the moment, and following @Klaus strategy, is:

‘Bottom line for optimizing is never sell singles, max 6 tables and cut out all low value products. Super min-max is just sell your highest card box with 2 stockers and be on register yourself’.

I am making daily profits of 20-25k without lifting a finger, just by ordering 30 Rare destiny boxes the day before and having 2 stockers and 2 people in the box.

If anyone has another strategy that works just as well, I'd love to hear it, min-maxing is fun in these types of games.

Hey thanks for the replies but I want to simulate a real shop, not min-max payouts.
I want all products to be available to purchase in my shop, liable to unlocking it first.

Running a real shop type thing is just not as profitable as min-maxing and taking advantage of how the code works, obviously.

I just wanted to know if I was doing something wrong or it was all just very bad luck.

At the moment I am 128 packs of each set I have access to once an in game week.
Without selling all the cards I've opened, just the best cards and bulk boxes I'm bringing in 5x what I spend every time. Honestly at this point I wish I could bulk out anything that has a Market Value of $10 or less in my $10 bulk boxes as I will never get around to doing anything with them. Also, seeing as I see the question asked a lot; no one set is hotter or colder than any other once you get to the point of opening 1000+ of the packs.

It's all luck. Truthfully, selling singles is not good profit to do every day. One day of selling singles per 8x 64 pack boxes seems to make it somewhat worthwhile unless your luck is insane. Your other items will sell 50% more often if you don't even have a card table down.

I started off slow.. doing like 10 packs a day.. etc.. now.. now.. I'm doing like.. 128 packs for each set.. so I'm opening like 500-600 packs a day. I have a mod that allows me to hold 64 packs at a time and also does it 10x faster and allowed me to change the price of when the game alerts you to a high value card to $75. I just got the open 10k packs achievement last night.

That's the thing tho, not really viable without mods. Would be interesting to know to devs opinion on this.

Because I'm not really sure if wants people to rip packs non stop, so I don't think we are getting upgrades in that regard.

Well they already added a slider to make it faster someone said you can open 1 pack a second which is about as fast as my mod if not faster.. the only difference then is the fact I can hold more card packs at a time. Plus I'm sure there are people who got the 10k packs achievement without mods. There is a streamer I watch who has been playing this game like 10+ hours a day and has more packs than even I opened with no mods.

I just open whatever packs my customers don't buy throughout the day. So if I have a total of 64 packs out, and they buy 10 of those packs, then I'll open the other 54. I turned my open speed all the way up and turned on auto next card so it only stops when I have a card over $10 and at the end of the pack.

I also only fill my card table once and when they're gone, they're gone because that by itself pays for any of the packs I need to replace plus some extra.
