At what point is an employee worth it?
I'm doing just fine so far with restocking and checkouts and then opening packs when not busy. And employees seem pretty expensive considering how well I could do it and with later employees costing a ton. I can only get the first so far, maybe the second. Store level 15 or 16. I mean, I guess other than running store B, but that sounds like a lot of money to go into it and keep track of both stocks.

get the first cause he's dirt cheap daily, for stocking up in the morning before you open the time pauses at 8am but he'll work, so you could buy everything you want stocking up, and wait for him to stock up before you open, then stick him on a till during the day after the morning rush, employees become much more financially viable later in the game. Store B isn't a new store, it's literally just a extension of your space on the other side of the black door in your shop so all the same stock

Depends how you like to play. I like automation so I have bought the first 3 to do the stocking and cashier. I can just do whatever during the day; open card packs, watch series / movies, etc.

So I think they are worthwhile. But I would recommend getting more than just the first one if you just want someone to stock selves cause Mr Zackery is slow af. Or just skip him and get the 3rd one.

:)

I only got the third one for restocking, the first two guys were way too slow

At some point exp will slow to such a crawl that you will want to hire the very fast cashiers so you can spend all day opening packs.

Restocking employees serve a similar automation purpose end-game.

Sounds like for now I would just want to get the third once available then, which I should have more shelves and stuff anyway. I don't mind doing stuff so far since it gives me a bit of variety. For the store B expansion, would it work to basically just shove tables in there at first or something to let it essentially take care of itself? Or would that just become a money sink?

I believe the intention of store b is for a storage room, but ya you can make it a play room. I am in the process of making the main store a play room and store b a merchandise store. but you could still put it all in one store and have a store room.

Ah okay that makes sense. In the other store simulator I've seen the next door area was for storage, so I was wondering about that. I guess once I get it I'll make it storage/play tables. I don't really stock up extra right now since I can easily see what's running out and stock it in real time once the last item is bought but I know that will become more difficult in the future. I'll probably change my stance on a cashier once the card game gets playable as well.

I designed my store from the start with enough stuff on display that I usually sell in a day with little spare.
That way I don`t need to deal with any dumb as a boot and slow as snail stocking employees and just stock everything myself in each morning. Wont need a store room that way either.

A single item, on a credit card transaction the first hire will take 7 seconds to complete. It's 2 seconds per paper item. There is no negative feedback and customers don't walk away, so I use the hire to ring. Yes I can do it much much faster, but there is no point.

Fill the store with stuff at the end of the day, start the new day and then go rip open packets in the corner like a goblin.

I waited until I could hire the first 'very fast' cashier before starting with employees. Supply was easy enough to keep on the shelf before that point that I could just restock after close. Stockers can be rather annoying at first.

Unless you have one that's at least fast, they move painfully slow while putting stuff on the shelf. You could restock an entire row of shelves in the time it takes them to go to the warehouse, get a box, put the things up, and put the box back.

Pretty simple. They're worth having when the hiring fee no longer feels like a huge expenditure and when you're consistently making a daily profit that is far in excess of what your combined bills would be.

They',re worth it when you just feel like doing nothing but opening packs in a corner for the whole day . I have 2 Cashiers and 3 restockers atm .
