Great, if someone already did that in a mod, should be nice and easy for the devs to make a similar change as part of the main game.
1: its broken and would ruin progression.
2: id rather they add content that doesnt already exist
Not saying this needs to be a thing right away...they arent even at a.5 release. there is plenty of tweaking and content that still needs added. but in general, i dont think it ruins progression as you still need to make money, and level up. It would speed up downtime a fair bit, perhaps they could add in a skill system in a later version to allow for some QOL as your shop progresses, so do you as the shop owner. gaining the ability to do different things. again, ideas for later content, not a bug or something that needs fixed right away
Keep in mind trading with NPC is on the road map.
Speeding this up might not be needed. It also removes the simulator aspect of the game
There's already to much that is automated for a simulator game.
I can already launch the game and AFK in other words it's more an idol genre of game later on.
TCG shops dont do this as often as you think they do. yes local game shops do this, they do it if they NEED singles and are not getting customers trading in or selling thier cards,
not just for the hell of it or to complete a whole collection.
in other words they rip packs open to sell NOT add to complete a full collection
completing the whole collection should be us the player do that by ripping packs open, the same way you would IRL to collect all of MTG cards, buying them or even trade to do so
this is also where trading with NPC (on road map) would hopefully come in
having workers rip packs open to sell singles all for it.
to complete your own personal collection NO. reason it removes the simulation aspect of you collecting those card on your own. whether that be ripping packs, buying from NPC or trading with NPC
game already once you reach far enough is basicly an idol game at that point. how many more system need to be added to automate things??? this game is a simulator. you can only go so far before its not a simulator anymore.
theres already to much automation as is. game doesnt need more.
i bought a simulator game not an automation/idol genre game
blows my mind how many seem to not understand the genre of a game they bought
The game "doesn't need more (automation)", that doesn't mean the game can't have more. You can just not use it yourself.
What you are doing is basically advocating against accessibility, which is really weird. Why does it matter to you that people want the game to have certain optional features ("options") that you personally don't like? People **do** understand the genre of the game they bought. Not everyone has a free day at home to waste away playing the game. People work. People have children and other responsibilities. The game **can** and should be improved in regards to accessibility and as I said, if you do not like some changes, you can just toggle them off and move on with your life. It's a Single Player game, why does it matter to you?
It blows my mind how many people get upset over people requesting more **options** that they can easily turn off/not turn on to be added to the game.
Card shop owners can't look at a big box of cards, press one button, and have them all opened, sorted, and filed into a binder instantly. If players want that, there are mods that do it.
Work on the road map agenda. That looks good to me.
I mean - unless you'd like to add a soccer mini-game and maybe a dungeon survival role playing game mode in the basement.
if you don't like these changes on a fundamental level? you can just... not use them. let others have their fun of automating choice tasks while you have your fun of not automating all those tasks.
don't like a feature? don't use it. simple as.
What if someone wanted fishing added to the game so the developer spends all his time adding a lake and fish, etc, etc? He is not adding features that are on the posted road map for the game people bought. He's creating a different game.
Why complain. Just don't fish if you don't like it. It's optional.
This is a simulator, not an instant action push a button and get the fireworks and marching band game won salute.
There are mods available right now that zip through card pack opening and the player doesn't have to even be at the computer. Why not just get that mod?
Then the player can initiate the pack opening and go watch television while the PC plays the game for him.
Doesnt matter of its a single player game.
The game still has an identity single player or not.
If u don't want a simulator game why did u buy it the first place.
Asking for stuff like this is like asking for a field of corn in farming simulator to be harvested after just plowing one row and boom all harvested.
That's not a simulation
Did u buy an automation/idle game or did u buy a simulator game. Right a simulator
Sure add faster pack opening. And to compensate for the effect this will have on balance of card pulls and XP gains. Lower the XP gains and rate of high card pulls.
Now u can have ur faster pack opening without effecting balance of the game. Which having it way faster will do.
Which it seems players asking for don't even stop to think about. Also seems players forget what's on the road map. Which may make it so this isn't needed at all.
No they don't understand the genre they bought.
When stuff like this is being asked for its pretty clear players
A) don't realize what they bought
B) don't know what a simulator game is
C) don't even want a simulator game.
Im using the fast pack opening mod for just that because its gotten to the point that im opening packs to sell singles and bulk boxes not to fill out my collection and I have to open ALOT to keep up with store demand
