Why are the glass display cases only for display?
Why have display cases that take up valuable space and cost money when they serve no purpose besides putting your cards in there for yourself to look at without having to open your binder? Why don't they double as card tables for singles to be sold out of, you know like card shops do in real life. Instead of these weird tables that are open air for everyone to reach over and mess with a card and thereby it's value, if we're taking inspiration from real life here.

For decoration. People actually role play the game instead of just power leveling the game. You don’t have to use them. Plus they might serve a purpose when card trading and grading is introduced

I am role playing the game, I have never been in a store where they simply have display cases with cards you're not allowed to buy. I would love for them to have an actual effect on people showing up or catching the eye of (If we get a feature like it) regulars or big spenders.
I haven't even fully expanded the space, still need the last row, and I have plenty of space for them. And they're cheap. And I sell every item I can unlock in the store. So neither space nor money is really an issue. It's just an aesthetic. And there are card shops IRL that have display only cases. My local Outpost 3000 has a couple by the counter with cards in them.
