Does anyone know if installing the pokemon mod is against TOS or bannable in anyway?

The Developer is against the use of this mod as many should be. I don't think using the mod is against TOS or is bannable (though I could be wrong), but it breaks copyright laws.

Use it at your own risk.

ban? no, the game is not need account or live service, the dev have no power to demand banning steam account from valve. still i would avoid pokemon mod, because controversy, and nothing else. nintendo will deal with modders themselves. so do as you please.

just be careful having Nintendo mods when streaming because they will have you striked for it. TCG card shop does not have a licence for Nintendo mods so just be careful when streaming if you are going to stream that mod

You installing and using the mod on your personal copy of the game doesn't cause any trouble. This isn't a live service game so even if you go against TOS, there's nothing to ban, it just means the developers have a right to not provide you with any kind of support or further service such as helping you if the mod ♥♥♥♥♥ up your updates.

However, the modders making and distributing the pokemon mods will get into trouble. What will likely happen is they get pressured to take down the mods and if they don't then the websites distributing the mods will take them down either voluntarily or upon the request of Nintendo. Nintendo won't bother doing anything further unless this keeps happening.

So just use it while you can but don't expect it to be available forever and work with future updates of the game.
