Controller not working on steam deck. (PS5 dual sense and Steamdeck Handheld)

I just got this game for my steam deck, and the game does not register button presses and joysticks the controller. Tried both docked and handheld. As well as external controller (PS5) and the steamdeck handheld.

The trackpad on the PS5 controller is the only thing that seems to work.

I am having this same issue. The controller of the Steam Deck does not work nor does my bluetooth connected Xbox controller. Changing the Steam Deck layout to a mouse does work. I checked Settings and “Disable Controller” is NOT checked. The store page states full controller support, but I haven’t been able to figure out how yet.

This is on the Steam Deck… so I can’t plug in a controller… it already is the controller.
