The better your reviews, the more people that will show up to use your play tables, and these people will still count as "half a customer" while they're playing cards or waiting for a seat. Your store has a maximum number of people that can be "spawned" at a time, so any play table-using person will be diminishing your sales just by existing.
So you want to either tank your reviews so not many of these dead weights show up, or not have play tables at all, so if they do show up, they'll just shake their head and leave, letting more of the actually useful customers spawn instead.
