Connecting roots in other worlds
After connecting roots Hunrath I got to a point where C.W. asks me to connect the roots in other worlds and this is where I'm stuck.

Here are the clues that I have and things I'm aware of:

Down at the tree roots there are three portals but entrance to them is blocked. There's also a voltmeter down there that slowly goes up to certain voltage and then drops to 0V.

At the top of the tower there's a trigger that's connected to a cable coming from the power plant thing with buoys around it. Pressing it does seemingly nothing. Up there with the trigger there's the same voltmeter with voltage slowly going up and then down back 0V as well as voltmeters showing 0V for other worlds. I assume I need to have voltage on all four voltmeters for the trigger to work.

I've also found two devices that teleport me to other worlds. One takes me a lush green planet and the other one to a dull grey planet with moving bridges. In both worlds there's currently nothing I can interact with so it looks like I'm not meant to go there yet.

Based on a map in Farley's house it looks like it's possible to get to the power plant thing by doing a dome teleportation from the area behind and above CW's location where I've redirected water to go down the waterfall at the start of game. Because of that I'm unable to get there anymore.

I also haven't been to the area over the river. I can't figure out how to get there at the moment.


Would anyone be able to give me a hint with minimum spoilers? Feel like I'm missing something very obvious.

Two things.

One: Look at the rocks blocking cave mouths. Some of them may seem to flicker a little.

Two: You can in fact interact with things in the grey world (Kaptar), there's quite a large area that you have access to but may have missed; and at some point you will have to drop the dome there.

I totally didn't realise I can move bridges in Kaptar. Missed the circular lever thing that enables it. Manged to make some progress. Thanks!

Glad to hear it.

You'll find that the wind-powered device idea will be repeated a bit later in Kaptar. The green world, Maray, is much more technological. The fourth world, Soria, I'll leave you to discover for yourself...
