Serialisation Error: Action Needed - Corrupt data found, please verify your installation
Keept getting this error popup and then when I try to "teleport" (not sure what the correct term is yet) it never completes between the two "worlds".

Any idea how I solve this?

I would suggest that you right-click on the Obduction entry in your game library, go to Properties, and then on the Local Files tab select "Verify integrity of game cache." The error message suggests that something in your game install was corrupted, and this will force Steam to analyze your installation and redownload any corrupt data.

If that is ok, send me your save file and I can make sure it's not corrupt.

Thanks both. Verified the game game cache and haven't had the issue for a while so hopefully that has sorted it.

I have the same problem, but at launch time. Can't run the game. "Verify game files" reports no problems, but still get this alert every time.

Is your offer still available?

I've re-installed the game twice. Same error. Can somebody tell me what's wrong and/or how to fix it?

This usually pops up on Mac hardware. If you're *not* on a Mac, contact support@cyan.com and attach a copy of your system's dxdiag report to the email telling us about the issue.

If you are on a Mac, please try these steps to resolve the crash/serialization error issue:

1. Open Finder, press “command+shift+g”
2. Type in: ~/Library/application support/, press enter
3. Open “Epic/Obduction/Saved”
4. Delete “ByteCodeCache.ushadercode” & “DrawCache.ushadercache”
5. Restart your computer

If you the path in the steps above does not show you any of the folders or files, follow these steps instead to clear out the corrupt shader cache:

1. Open Finder, press “command+shift+g”
2. Type in: ~/Library/Containers/com.cyan.obduction/Data/Library/Application Support/Epic/Obduction/Saved/SaveGames
3. Delete “ByteCodeCache.ushadercode” & “DrawCache.ushadercache”
4. Restart your computer

If you're having this issue and none of the replies offering suggestions to fix it above help in this case, please email support@cyan.com for help. Please attach a copy of your system specs with the email. Thanks.
