Kaptar, unable to move lever that links piston arms

I linked the first one top left, tried for agaes to move it to the next one, trying many different ways but it seemed stuck(no drag option?)
All of a sudden it moved to the lower left one and was able to connect that piston arm but now I can't move the lever at all, it just keep linking and unlinking no mater where I attempt to move it.

Help please this is driving my nuts!,

I asked here because it does seem to be a technical problem rather than needing a puzzle solving.

I have the same problem. Also the lever on the other side of the chains is stuck and doesn't move. I do have a left handed mouse.

Was this ever fixed? I find myself in the same situation - I successfully linked all pistons earlier but now I am at the point in the game where I need to decouple the lower left piston to stop the gear so I can pass through, but the guide for movement doesn't appear on the coupler assembly - it defaults to the top left linkage and I can only open and close the top left piston linkage. No amount of clicking moves the lever assembly. I am running the game via a Shadow PC virtual machine and everything else has worked thus far. Thanks
