Thank you.
with the 1.7.0 patch my game broke too. 1.6.5. run fine.
1.7.0 showed the cyan intro sequence and FATAL ERRORed.
a day later it loaded again 490 mbyte update without any infos....after installing that update, 1.7.0 run fine. (yaay)
today i started steam and it again loaded 499mbyte patch without any information of what is contained in this patch. i hope my game works now :)
please give the users infos what these little patches are about. would be insanely helpful.
Since the updates contained only new content access and adjustments to make that transition smoother, no release notes were necessary or required.
i just testet it again after todays little patch and it works fine with 1.7.0 now.
also what would you recommend for users that havent finished obduction yet, should i start a new game to access the new content or can i just load my savegame and i can access it?
Opening a saved game will allow any players to access the PS4 content if they can get to the areas where it's located.
Hmmm, that's a bit condescending. An unexplained update appears - that breaks some people's games and makes everyone have to update when they may have logged in to do something else - and you can't even be bothered to post a one line post just explaining why we have to spend 10 minutes updating something for no readily apparent reason.
It would be nice if the game could just be called finished at some point instead of all the constant tweaking and 500Mb updates.
Whether or not release notes are "necessary or required", wouldn't it just be common courtesy? The tone of Jacks response here reminds me of RAWA's attitude, and the reason i stopped playing URU a few years back.
How stupid to not check such a simple error by a developer? Do they not install this on separted networks and test? Strange but this small Indie team must truly be pressured to release such bad code.

Further checking: Something I'm trying is to revert to the previous 1.6.5 version of the game. You can do this by right clicking on the game icon hit properties in the steam window and choose the Beta tab -> then dropdown and click the previous 1.6.5 version. Once done close window and it will then update the game to that version. Mine is still loading ... I will let you know if that works or not. If so then I'll continue to try to check Cyan's support site and relate the screenshot and bug.
Sadly that did not fix the issue... got the same exact error. I even retried the game set the graphics to minimal thinking the rendering of graphics was the issue, though I have a high end system Nvidia Titan card and the game is supported by it etc. Either way I'm uninstalling the game for now. Hopefully they will find a patch at some future time.
There is no developer by the name Jenkins at Cyan. Jenkins is the name of the (G:) drive that delivers your game download to you via Steam. There's much more to it than that - too much to detail here - but that's the jist of it. So please don't start a manhunt for poor Jenkins. It'd ruin many people's day, and you'd never find any person by that name.
When you see a Low Level Fatal Error, especially after having played the game previously, it means your computer's GPU or other drivers are not playing well with the game anymore because the components have not received their most recent available update from the GPU (or other compontent) manufacturer.
Update your GPU and any other component that may have an out-of-date driver, restart your computer after they have updated, then try playing again.
If that doesn't resolve the problem, email support@cyan.com and attach with your email a copy of your system's dxdiag report. We'll personally look into it further for you.
Thanks.
As far as my Nividia drivers they are automatically updated each day with a check. So it is your responsibility to either inform the driver manufacturers or at least be more civil about your responses. I want respond further nor give u ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
We're sorry our attempt at humor was taken far too seriously in this case - "Jenkins" is not a human - it's a server.
The "LowLevelFatalError" in every case we've seen points to either a system requirement not being met, or a driver update that has not been made to bring drivers current.
To ensure you're actually getting the latest update, Nvidia's website is the best source to visit and download the update from.
Please accept our apology if our somewhat flippant reply offended you.
If you still require help, do contact support@cyan.com for assistance as we suggested.
