This vs older Overlords?

I think a more appropiate question would be how similar this is vs the older Overlords. Looking at the trailers e.t.c. the answer seems to be, not much.

Overlord 1 and 2 are not only both cheaper, on steam with gamepade support they're also superior quality.

Hi, im Cosmin Dumea one of the biggest fans of Overlord. I've played almost all the chapters of the saga except overlord minions and overlord dark legend. Reading these threads I decided to show you my opinion: I played overlord 1 in the same year that came out in 2007, when I had 8 years, and I have to admit that the game pleased me a lot since then is my favorite, Codemstaers if you're wondering why your fans are criticize you so much is because you WRONG ... What's wrong? I'll explain it now, was a beautiful and great idea to let out 1 overlord and even bigger and great was the idea of a dlc. Unfortunately you also made bad choices that brought you to disappoint your fans, what are they?
1) Overlord dark legend: because. you have decided to publish it for the wii? who's playing? ♥♥♥♥ing children 6 years that the Nintendo Wii, kids today would not buy a wii even if it was free.

) Overlord dark legend: it was a good plan to make a game starring the black Baron's nephew the first overlord but was a terrible idea to make the game for the wii, a bad graphics, the controls suck, and the game is relatively short and contains no real goals from overlord.
3) overlord minions : another good intention that though resulted in a bad idea, again: why a Nintendo game????? ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics, controls that suck.

Despite this overlord fallowship of evil fallowship is not bad, rather than some previous chapters, I mean overlord minions and dark legend, I think I will buy overlord followshipbof evil. Great idea was it to create overlord 2 but you have let down your fans why not have released dlc, in particular, I want to say that I'm disappointed with the plot of overlord fallowship of evil, WHY DID YOU LET DIE the SON of THIRD OVERLORD???? IT WAS ONE OF THE MOST BAD IDEAS THAT YOU HAVE TAKEN, YOU COULD SAY THAT THE FOURTH OVERLORD WAS DEFEATED, EXILED BUT NOT KILLED! ALSO I HAVE to TELL YOU,WHY CODEMASTER YOU LET US DOWN BECAUSE WE were HOPING for an OVERLORD 3, FOR YEARS WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR AND YOU STILL CONTINUE TO MAKE US WAIT FOR NOTHING. Tip: IF YOU ARE PLANNING to DO OVERLORD 3, PLEASE MAKE an open world, MAKE A GREATER POSSIBILITY TO PERSONALIZE THE MAIN CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION, ADD NEW INTERACTIONS SUCH AS To SIT on the THRONE, (it would have BEEN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC THIS OPTION IN OVERLORD 1) I know that THIS OPTION is there IN OVERLORD 2 BUT I WOULD LIKE to SEE EVEN IN OVERLORD 3, add to the PC VERSIONS of the game the POSSIBILITY TO WALK ... And DON'T FORGET BETTER GRAPHICS AND A Longer STORYLINE !!!

Just don't try comparing it... this isnt Overord 3 and thus will not be close to any of the other Overlords (except for the characters probably)

Not true. Beyond Good and Evil was out on several consoles and the steam version zero gamepad support.

Off topic but in that game's case no excuse for it.

This game is a steaming pile of crap. The original Overlord, pikmin parody brillent Humor, hidden secrets, multiple endings, and yes you can get a harem of enslaved women.

Second game. Lil more Linar, you can conquer towns with the choice to enslave or destroy everyone and everything in it. There is a Morality bar in both games but in Overlord 2 it's more a style of Evil thing. Destruction means kill everything and everyone in sight. Domination is more about well.. Dominating everything minimual destruction more enslavement. Again hidden things multiple endings.

After playing both games you'll look at this one and ask. "Wait why do they think the fans will like this?" The awnser is no we are not amused and quite frankly we the Overlord Fans are quite pissed off.

I would assume, at least on PC, the console kids would just think "oooh Overlord game" and buy it without a second thought, or even a first thought come to think of it.
