Even if this is true English Civil War is one of the newer ones. It is the second to last "ageod style" game they made before switching to Field of Glory.
To End All wars 2014, RUS gold (2015, remaster of 2010 one), Thiry Years' War 2015, Wars of Napleon 2015, Englihs Civl War 2017, Wars of Succession 2018. So it's missing from the newer ones which are all on Steam.
And some of the other ones are Steam are even older, Pride of Nations 2011, Alea Jacta Est 2012, Civil War II 2013.
I'd like to see Birth of America 2 as it's the best one not already on Steam. And English Civil War because it's one of the newer games and is an interesting war.

I believe these are the same people who made the old AGEod games but using a modified system. There are quite a lot of these games on Steam too which revisit older AGEod games - my personal favourite, Espana 36, is being reworked and should be available in the summer next year.
The AI in the game in SGS games is horrible and they have a reputation for abandoning games (like blocks, etc.)
Completely just my subjective opinion here, the engine feels too gamey, and the SGS games that I have played have also felt gamey. Old AGEOD is art, it's a shame these game franchises will never see true sequels because the SGS games are so... okay. Credit where it's do, however, they cover some great time periods.
Unfortunately, BoA2 won't play on Win11 for me. I tried but I keep getting error messages in French. That's not surprising since Ageod was a French company, I believe and Phillip Malacher and the other Phillipe were both French. I believe I have those names right.
AGEOD are old games, on an old engine, and they work in WIn 10 and 11. On some they don't.
1. A non-French speaking person cannot understand the messages.
2. Being a French company explains why the error messages are in French.
This ain't rocket science.
