In COD your gun bounces everywhere and you can't see what you're shooting at due to Michael Bay levels of effects, Bungie has very subdued weapon effects which ensure that you can see what you're shooting at with subdued recoil that snaps quickly back to the point in which you started firing.
Bungie gunplay is liked because you don't have to fight with the weapons just to hit something, it's snappy and their weapons don't jump anywhere near as excessively as other FPS games, it just feels smooth.
If you're talking strictly about Marathon, the gunplay just feels like a downgrade from Destiny as a whole.
This is a hero shooter, most of them has at least one hero that aims for you. There is 4 off the top fo my head in overwatch. Theya re using an ability. Make a whole character not worth using on one platform is hillarious.
