Why do these studios keep pumping out copy paste extraction shooters?

The market is clearly oversaturated. If Bungie wants to salvage this mess they need to delay this game by at least a year and make it a traditional PVP shooter not extraction slop. Change the art style too, it sucks.

Can you name me some extraction shooters besides Tarkov, Hunt Showdown, and TC:F? I really don't see a lot and would like to try them out because it's my favorite genre. I had hundreds of hours on The Cycle: Frontier and now it's gone so I'm kinda lost. Hunt showdown also isn't as high stakes as I would like.

Vigor is kinda fun. It’s made by the same people as Dayz and Arma so similar feel

The art style is at least interesting if a bit too simple and 'blocky'

But this is just depressing to see the Marathon title on such a generic and boring game.

Aside from the usual Tarkov, Hunt Showdown and The Cycle, there is Dark and Darker which is a medieval extraction game, and Marauder. I'm not sure if Marauder still has players, but it's more of a diesel-punk extraction shooter with themes of WW2 and space piracy. Scavengers was another extraction but it was a third person game with hero shooters, very much like this game actually but it died. There is another extraction game that is on Steam where you can play as an alien, but I am forgetting the name.

Honestly, seeing that it was a typical extraction shooter, I checked out. I wish they had done something completely different with it, like making it teams of competing PvE, racing against each other to get as much scavenge as possible before the timer. It would've put a real balance of down-to-the-second decisionmaking on whether to go for that last bit of loot, or to extract and hope your team has enough to win already.

Being a standard extraction shooter just means that this game is a worse Tarkov with a futuristic skin on it. Pass.
