i mean how can people bash the game without even looking at the cinematic trailer? if the art direction is not the cup of tea for you all then let me remind you that was ONE map of 3 that we would see in the alpha.
also people said that the characters werent "sexy" enough, if you want to look at sexy women and men then go play games that cater that specific niche (which most of the times are slop shovelware)
i understand that the gameplay seems boring, this is an ALPHA which tends to change A LOT of the core gameplays and mechanics after the players feedback (which bungie has heard) just take a look at the alpha of destiny and the huge differences when the open beta got live, dont bash a game this early and IF YOU CARE then you CAN express your opinions to devs like a normal and above average IQ person (acting like an ape with them and hurling slurs wont do anything yk)

It's a CINEMATIC TRAILER.

I didn't really pay attention till gameplay came out and the genre was revealed. From my understanding most people thought the trailer was cool. Kind of wish they'd just made a full length movie instead of a game.

Many of us who hate this slop came from deathmatch focused games. Halo itself, Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament in my case.

You can, and should do both for Marathon... and no, this extraction slop is not the way to handle that.

Bungie literally stated they explicitly chose extraction because they thought it was going to blow up.

I was also there when most of these games came out. I played the first 3 Halo games, ODST and Reach when they first released. I've seen the changes in the industry live. I think a lot of modern games aren't as good as they used to be for reasons you likely would agree with. I however don't see those issues here.
