on twitter it was said it would be a "premium" title so it will most likely be paid
No, full price at launch with a paid battlepass as well on day one

If this game launches with a price tag it'll be Bungie's Concord. No sane person will drop $70 (let's be honest, they'll ask for that much) on an extraction shooter.

But hey, maybe that's their goal. Getting pounded by investor greed daily might have just caused them to snap and now they want an out...

I like how the 70$ price tag falled from f-ing nowhere :D
It is better have some reasonable price than F2P crap fulled out by cheaters

I saw twitch chat saying 40$, but I don't know if it's true.

"Marathon will be a premium title. Marathon will not be a ‘full-priced’ title."

So yeh, it's not going to be a $70 title but anywhere between $25 and $40 is probably a good guess
I'm sure there will be an open beta. Will check it out.

The Game not being free is the only real fumble here. People can ignore bugs or graphics and still have fun, most Online Live Service Games are free2play but offer in-game purchases. We've all been there, a new Game comes out and you and friends will try it out. Now if the Game is $40 I'd say most people will just pass or wait for a Steam Sale and play something else instead. I get it they need to make money, but so do all free Games. Look at PUBG being free and sticking around since like 2017.

Pretty sure PUBG was $30 and just went free2play in 2022.
