Game cant be started.

I loved to play this game and would start again but after installing it showed me just this error: C:/Projekts/KKLibs/Source/Engines/Nebula/nebula/code/src/gfx/nd3dB_device.cc/532 Aborting Me whos a total hardware noob and also kinda new to pcs having no clue what to do. So i asked ChatGPT and followed all the steps it gave me. Nothing worked. turn off antivirus, Update my system, reinstall DirectX (which i tbh dont know what it is but my brother (total IT freak) installed it for me). Anything chatGPT says, i tried. Till to this point where my only solutions are to ask the communuity and maybe the publishers. Bit whill they answer? The game is nearly 20 years old.
