How do I demolish tracks?

I've been looking everywhere a demolish/remove rail button would logically be. Right now whenever I find I built in the wrong place or want to move track, I either reload a save or restart the mission.

Can only do it from the end of some rails, like you would build tracks in the middle of thr directional arrows there is a undo/demolish button. its red for demolish and grey for remove planned track.

Same problem here, the button (undo/demolish) is always gray ... need to remove route of trains before modify the track?

It is possible to remove already build tracks and stations. Make sure there is no (planned) traffic on the rail and select the rail at the end. The undo button will turn red and you can demolish the track.
