I see you are playing it now, how big can the battle be?
Campaign mode would be nice to have as well, doesn't necessarily need to be as complex as TW, but something similar would be nice to see.
Maybe instead of a TW style campaign, it could be some sort of conqueror the world roguelike mode with economic and military management.
Build up your armies stronger and stronger and see if you can make it to the end.
When the game has a big campaign map, factions, uniqueness, Ie : Total War games, then sure not many play MP, but when the game is all about the skirmish battles, people might lean towards MP more.
I want Strategos to be ALL about the battles. Pour all your resources into the battles. TW has become all about the boring map game. Auto resolve. Battles over in 5 minutes if you do decide to go in. Chase units for another 10 minutes. Brain dead AI. So much fun.
The lack of multiplayer seems odd. I don't understand why. Microprose tradition? Will it take that many resources to make the netcode? Regiments also didn't feature multiplayer.
