EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

I made it to the car trunk HOG, got the chisel, and then couldn't leave the scene. The hint wasn't helpful. The map did nothing. I thought it might help to exit the game and restart. I had the same problem so I started a new profile. It won't even go through the opening dialogue before I get a EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error. Now I also get that error when clicking on the original profile. I'm using a Windows 8 machine. Any suggestions?

@hklbry: if you cannot start a new game you could try deleting the game settings and profiles. go to "c:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\RVLGames\" and delete the folder

This will make the game to start from 0.

Also please explain what do you mean by "and then couldn't leave the scene"?
What did the Hint shows you?

I tried that. It did start off with needing a new profile, but it closed as soon as the intro text screens were done.

The Hint showed the area to the right of the light pole/fuse box. The fuse box said something to the effect of "come back later". The map would show locations, but would not allow me to leave. I can't be more precise since I can't get back into the game.

Oh, and by not being able to leave the scene I mean I could not go back to the gate or to any place else. An arrow would appear, but clicking on it did not move the gameplay from the parked car scene. I hope that helps! Thanks!

I can't find the RVLGames folder. To the specified address it isn't present. Search too doesn't find it. EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION message all the same appears. Help please.

ставим совместимость с Windous XP. все работает.
