BSM just seemed a little cartoonish by comparison.
There's a couple of drawbacks though. On my PC at least it's much more unstable compared to Hard Life. The game crashes like every half an hour when I play. The BSM quests are also just weird from a story standpoint.
ya i want to rewrite the quest stuff its so bad
Hi. No it is not more stable. For me it crash less by not using the higher resolution even my rig capability can definitely work that. Cannot run it on Win 10 for me. Kept asking for a dll. file . Some maps in HLA do not load all required parameters properly. Anyway this is the situation for me.
The story is ok for me even though the Player is forced to work for the Rebels from start, some options such as hunger/ability to forage for food via hunting/fishing is doable. The things that makes the game unstable are the maps not loading all params, the day & night cycle when going into the maps are incorrect - just a few example. These are the contributors to the game crashing for me.
To my understanding this HLA is independent from 7.62. From what I read it were from a few mods combined into one. The execution however is a shame. Some of the missions are terribly implemented. Try doing Villarado at CGL 2. It left me speechless. If somehow HLA is reworked again by the makers to iron out the deficiencies. The gameplay & combat is intense. Very tactical too. However these aspects alone cannot cover the defects. How it still being sold is a good mystery. Someone must still be getting income from sales. Yeah there is a possibility that all your saves will be corrupted & the Player will be unable to launch it. Happened to me a few times.
PS: Do you know how to use the workshop option with it? I subbed to a bunch of mods but the game doesn't load them
Gotta launch the game from Steam, then you get "Mods" option in the Main menu, enable them there. I don't think stuff like edited NPC/shop inventories will take effect on existing saves, need to start a new game for those.
uh......... No. Hard life is a mod that has always been free.
