cant start the game.

the game freezes immediately over the roundup of logos .... I have tried to uninstall and reinstall it, to close and reopen steam, to turn off the pc and turn it back on, but nothing ... the game gives me a blank screen with the cursor and the jingle background but nothing else

so: windows 8.1

I'm having a similar issue, but mine won't go past the developer title and then it crashes closed. I've been wanting to play this game and it sucks that I can't even load it. Any solution suggestions, anyone?

My game crashes on the first picture. I have to end task through the task manager. Any help would be appreciated!

Open the folder in which you installed the game (default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Happy Hereafter) and go to the folder "logos." Delete the file "splash_03.jpg". As well, you can try to delete this folder all the files.
