Bug? Missing Worker

so i'm on the first level, and one of my workers suddenly vanished. I can sitll select him, but I cant assign him anything, I can't find him on the map and hes at 0% happiness. is it a bug?

Actually, I've discovered hes actually teleported to one of the greyed out areas of the map. I cant move him though.

Looks like it's rare case, so it will not be patched individually
By the way, progressing through game will eventually open all map, so prodigal son will return)

This happened to me too, but a little further into the game (I only have two areas left to open up). I'm not sure where he is, haha.

Restarting the game didn't work very well for me, I restarted (deleted player and recreated player) and then when it got to the magic part it just instantly went past it, so I didn't get the fourth person for free. I ended up uninstalling the game and deleting the player account for good measure and then restarted

Once you discover the area you get your worker back. I had this bug as well :P

i just had to delete my game and make another one. still stuck

You could just grab the worker on his picture in the lower left corner. You can do that with them all, so you don't have to look for them all around the map. Just click on the picture of them and you can place them wherever you want.

@Lisa_Chan - nice thought, but this doesn't work. Bug is more of a context placement thinig w/the mobile location (kinda like some games a mob will port into a wall so you can't get to in, or why there is a /stuck feature in mmos)... crappy devs if this has been present for yrs; at least worker shows after map opens tho

Resurrecting this thread to say YES this is still an issue. My worker is missing, and clicking him to move him does nothing. I'll wait to see if opening up other areas brings him back, but it's really frustrating.

I have the same problem. Known bug for more than five years? Guess it will never be fixed,
