Should I switch to PC finally for RGG?
I’ve played all the RGG games on my PS5, but I just recently upgraded my PC to a 9800x3D and a 4080 Super. Curious if the past couple games (mostly infinite wealth and Y7 since it’s the same engine) look significantly better on PC vs PS5 to be worth the switch. Mostly asking because if I get this on PS5 I might get the collectors edition, which obviously doesn’t exist for PC but I am sure I can probably end up running this game at 4k 120 (or at the very least 1440p 120). Let me know your thoughts!

The answer is always yes switch to pc
Mainly because you Just concentrate on one game library (lifetime)
And not on a 5year circle on console
The keyboard and mouse are much more comfortable in all games in the series on PC than a gamepad (especially in mini-games, but not in retro arcade fighting games), no matter what each game's intro claims to the contrary.

This a console game first and PC game later. What i mean by that is the graphics aren't going to change that much by running it on Ultra compared to the PS5 version, it's mostly going to be resolution and framerate if you have a high res and high refresh rate monitor.
With that said, i would still play this on PC because of mods.
4080 super beats the hell out of ps5. From now on, you should play games on pc except console exclusives.

Even those, outside nintendo, are coming more and more to pc.

if you can find a comfortable setup using a controller on your PC, yes. otherwise, idk. i'm sure modern Yakuza games play fine on keyboard & mouse but I find it nice to lay back with a controller with most non-FPS games.
That's the thing with PC you can use either Mouse + Keyboard OR Controller whichever you prefer and you can switch between them on the fly in-game

In a game like this that doesn't really strive for realism in appearance....and is more "cartoon"-focused................I really wouldn't recommend it, especially if you want that collector's edition.

Plus, if you are like some people that like owning a physical copy either for the sake of saying you truly own it or if you want to resell it for about half the price on ebay one day.....I really don't think the pc version has more pros for you.

I never could get used to playing games on a keyboard and mouse. I use a controller. Steam has seen a big rise in controller users as well over the recent years.
I may be on wrong side economic wise, I honestly think any console but the switch is better economic wise with tech that change at quick pace, (isnt the media one phone each two years?) i kinda want to hold on the process a bit if you buy a console then you kinda say the norms on tech wise but if grab a pc is upgrade after upgrade every 3 years or so
Also with console you atleast go about 3 to 5 years without need upgrades
Technically, consoles have outdated hardware to begin with. It's all about software optimization.
And it's a very specialized device. It makes no sense if you already have a computer. Consoles have far fewer games, no mods, worse graphics and frame rates, and fixing these inconveniences or any problems on your own is strictly prohibited.
I also hate the PlayStation gamepad specifically. It's extremely inconvenient in terms of quickly recognizing the colors and shapes on the buttons.

For the first time in 6 years, I changed something in my PC, namely the video card from gtx1080 to rtx4070Super. Not because I had to (Cyberpunk 2077 ran smoothly on high settings), but because I wanted to see "ray tracing" stuff.
I switched with Like A Dragon Gaiden and haven't looked back.
I play all Yakuza game with ps5 controller. Its works great, and the vibrations are most of the time accurate. So yes.
