This game immediately follows the events of Infinite Wealth, so you should play that one first if you're trying to avoid spoilers. But be aware that their combat styles are very different. Infinite Wealth has turn-based combat, while Pirate Yakuza has action-based.
Definitely play Infinite Wealth first. Pirate Yakuza spoils IW a lot, and has a lot of references to IW.
Yeah the first like...30 min spoils major plotlines from Infinite Wealth, and the two games seem to be joined so you'll probably be better off starting with IW if story matters to you, keep in mind the gameplay is very different, Pirate Yakuza plays more like the Traditional Yakuza games where IW is turn based/JRPG.

I have played the demo. But how does it follow the events of infinite wealth since this is a spin-off like Ishin!

If you play for the story and expect something similar to previous titles, be prepare to be amazed by nonsensical story, Infinite Wealth and this one are terrible bad.

It's not like ishin. This game takes place 6 months after the events of Infinite Wealth. It's canon not spin off game. You'll undestand when you play it don't wanna spoil it much

I just saw your hating on IW on forums multiple times. I couldn't care less about your opinion. I didn't ask about the story, you just came here to spread your negativity.

Have fun! Even though I don't like it as much as Persona 5, it's a good game.
