Why Do Some Mahjong Tiles Glow?

So I don't recall this being in the other games. Was playing some Mahjong and saw some titles glowing but different each time. Was like 1 stone then 5 bamboo then some others. Why is that?

And if possible please explain in little Mahjong technical words as possible. I know pretty much some words and phrases me like the basics like Chi, Pon, Kan Ippasu ect

I'm guessing it's current dora tile in that round.

As said possibly the dora, when you start a game there will be a tile in the middle basically if you make up a hand from the next tile in order, say you had 1 stone then if you made 2,3,4 or 2,2,2 of stone you will get extra points if you win the round.

You can have more than 1 dora, if you get or someone else gets a Kan (4 of a kind) then it will add another dora tile, meaning you can benefit twice.
