What is the fatest ay to find cew and money?
Iam now on chapter 2 at the part where it says i must find money and more people for my crew.
It says that one of the ways to do is to complete the substories that i havent completed yet. Is this the fatest way? To do all the substores on thel ist that ihavent done yet?

For money I just did the big payout bounties.
For crew I just went around doing the ones that seemed easiest to obtain (e.g: Pay $2000, etc).

You can view the payout of bounties and requirements of crew members by hovering over them on the map. There's one good payout one on Rich Island but most are in Hawaii.

for money and rep u can do the treasure islands theres a few that give like 90-100k rep and money and they are doable pretty early on

I did all the bounties and then spent all the money on upgrades and taking the exams. Now I'm 3k short of the 10k I need after doing everything else on the island. Hopefully I can still move forward.

Worse comes to worse do random fights and search around around the environment for things to sell at pawnshops, or find a minigame you like (they are usually behind substories) to get money from exchanging points to items like platinum plates.

The fatest way is to hang out at pirate burger king and offer all you can eat to attract the chunkiest scallywags on the open buffe...seas.
I have zero worthwhile additions to this conversation. my apologies. But at least others provided some advice and now I know!

Including the bounties on Rich Island and Madlantis itself, not just Honolulu?

If you have, well... I suppose if you haven't turned in and spent all the fortunes, you could buy gambling cheat items from Kamulop and place the largest bets you can.
You'll get the ability to get some treasures, and worst case you can grind minigames like Crazy Delivery

it isnt the fasstest but its prob the better option since the substory crew have some cool abilities but if you want it to be fast go around hawaii and check the map the pirate figures and go to them some need money other you need fame but i reccomend getting the side quest ones

You can easily make stacks playing Koi-koi, that game has always been easy to cheese, since you can quit anytime if you see you are about to lose and not pay.

Bounties are the quickest way to make big cash and unlock your upgraded ship. Once you open up Gearworks you can get Julie to craft a coconut ring that will increase cash drops in random encounters too. It may not seem like much, but those add up fast. You can multiply your fortune later with gambling using cheat items. Crazy Delivery is a bit of a grind, and is more for the items you can buy with completion points.

I'd also suggest that you don't splurge on Majima upgrades early other than health and attack since they also cost you rep. There are crew members that you can only recruit if your crew rep is at 4 or 5 stars. You can easily get there doing most of the Hawaii free roam content.
Gonna rise the point of majong game I remmembrer doing quite the pot on Lost Judgament by during the week you enter in a couple of fights, gain that currency, go to homeless seller and buy a couple of the manjong item, cash in after

To add to this... once one does fork over the $10K for the ship repairs and recruit the necessary 15 crew to enter the Pirate Colosseum, a lot more lucrative activities will open up (e.g. the "Devil Flags" side plot is extremely lucrative, in addition to the repeatable Colosseum fights). You want a very combat-worthy ship and crew for both, and you'll get enough income from these to not only upgrade the ship but then work on the Majima skills as you see fit.
For crew, there should be several on your map. You can also buy and win them from various minigames like pool, minikart, crazy delivery, and sicko snap.

for money, bounties is the way to go in ch. 2. you can get some gambling cheat items for cash too. only mahjong, oicho kabu, and koi koi are available though. hookshot treasure gives some but its not great in ch. 2
