Infinite Wealth had the same random crashs and some of the issues it had are still here so... I guess they don't care.
I tried a few things like disabling/lowering some options and update everything on my computer but honestly I didn't really believe it would fix anything because my PC never crashes in games normally (I've seen it even crash on PS5s), it's just that they coded the game with their feet. Since Like a Dragon they took the same path as Assassin's Creed at the time, releasing a buggy game with no improvements per year to make easy money from the actual popularity of the license. I know I'm part of the problem, I bought it cuz I loved 1-6 but damn that's a shame.
This is supposed to fix issues with DLSS being unusable if nvidia App is installed. Unfortunately I noticed crashes even without DLSS or Frame Gen enabled. :/
They said to play without DLSS or DLSS frame generation while they're trying to fix it.
I wasn't using FG anyway but I was using DLAA. I will try turning that off
I've had three crashes so far before I saw this, went to turn off DLSS, turned out I had upscaling off the whole time, so this can't be the source of the issue.
It has nothing to do with the Nvidia App, I've never had it installed and the game still crashes
One thing I've kinda noticed that my crashes are more frequent if I change locations a lot. Doing tons of side stuff in Honolulu I was able too play for around 4 hours before a crash, but jumping around actually using my ship and doing island expeditions and going to Madlantis I had a crash within and hour.
Really lean into thinking it could be some sort of memory leak, but who knows at this point.
Using a R9 5900x + 4070 TI
Unfortunately, it still crash even in full screen...
Crashes are more frequent in Hawaii than anywhere else for me, but it just happened in the open sea right now while I was going for a lighthouse. No errors, no freeze, no lags, it just closed. ♥♥♥♥ game.
Tried adjusting the settings, full screen, fps limit to 60, etc etc. Still crashes.
Disabled the Nividia app. Still crashes.
Turned a ton of the settings down, still crashes.
I said okay, whatever. I'll just push through and save often.
I get to Hawaii and just keep playing... and playing.. and then it hits me.
I... haven't crashed??
I play for around 3-4 hours and not a single crash. I figure okay great! Whatever it is is gone now.
Then I progress to a point where I'm back at sea, play for about an hour and then... crash.
Its the ship. Its something to do with the ship. I'm sure of it.
For me at least the game ONLY seems to crash in instances where the ship is around. At sea, Madlantis, Rich island. Yet it wont crash at all in Hawaii.
