STEAM - SELECTED VOICE PLAYBACK ISSUE
To those experiencing issues with a different voice language being played from the one selected in “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii”

Thank you for playing Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.

We confirmed that there is an issue where, in some instances of the game, a voice language different to the one selected will play.

If you are experiencing this issue, we apologize for the inconvenience, but please try the following:

-Issue

*When a voice language is selected that is different from the language set on the Steam client, some of the voices will instead be played in the language set on the Steam client.

-Workaround

*Please restart “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii” after the title logo is displayed.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your ongoing support for the Like a Dragon & Yakuza series.

Please support the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback of the dualsense controller on the Steam version!!!

please fix the hdr and colors in this game
During the Bang Bang Batting centre tutorial mission Majima is correctly in the selected language (Japanese for me) but Noah + Batting Centre Manager switch to English language. After the mission it corrects itself back to selected. So it seems to happen during select activities as well

I have changed from Japanese to English and back again and it has not fixed the issue. The enemies are still speaking in English when starting fights.

Tbf brother, the local enemies are not Japanese, of course they are speaking in English.

Logically sure, but the language settings are supposed to change their voices to Japanese as well and I get taken out of the experience when the voices change from Japanese to English randomly.
I thought most enemies speaking English was intentional ngl lol
Ya I still can't tell if some of them are supposed to speak english or not. None of my cutscenes have anyone speaking english, but in Madlantis a lot of the random civilians or card dealers will have english voicelines, can someone tell me if it's supposed to be like that?

As far as I know from my playthrough, random NPCs will speak in their own languages according to their nationality (i.e. Chinese, Japanese, English) even I set it on Japanese voice-over. I guess it was intentional.

I would rather it be JP voice only for the random mob characters, but if it is actually intentional, nothing you can do.
What about Yakuza Kenzan? When are we getting Kenzan?

I'm also getting English Majima tho when I emote so definitely shouldn't be intended.
Will Yakuza Kenzan have any issues like this?
