playstation face buttons inverted

i am used to using playstation face button visuals because i only owned PS1 and PS2 before i just started playing games on the PC but i got an XBOX controller because it was less of a hassle to set up on the PC and now i find that when i have the XBOX controller plugged into the game it makes CIRCLE the exit button and that really throws me off
i use a button remapper to swap ABXY to the nintendo layout due to owning nintendo DS long ago but can never remember where X and Y are
is there any way to change the playstation icons in game to the proper ones? (CROSS = exit menu, CIRCLE = confirm, etc)
karaoke is not playable because i have to mentally convert the letters to the playstation symbols that i am used to (if i change display to show playstation symbols circle and cross becomes flipped because of my remapper and if i disable my remapper every other game out there will swap B and A around again)

in steam controller layout you can select play station layout.

Go settings -> Game Settings and scroll all the way to the bottom if it's like the demo setting "Button Display" to "Type 3" will get you the old school PlayStation icons.

I mean, unless you grew up in Japan Playstation also had X=Confirm, Circle=Cancel.

Is disabling the remapper that much of a hassle? Sounds like your third party app is the cause of the drama.

yeah thats the problem i grew up with circle equals confirm
guess i might need a mod

cuz my place imports japan stuff directly instead of importing through western means

Ah I see. Bugger. Yeah you could trying using a program like Autohotkey to change face buttons (I've used this in the past for keyboard keys, not a controller though)
