I've never played a Yakuza game, but i wonder why people is already hating or criticizing it. Let's give it a chance.

It's mostly because it's just weird, any yakuza fan knows by now (or at least I hope) there's so much weird and wacky entries or side quests that it may as well be said it's in every game.

In my opinion that game has more cheap marketing than The Man Who Erased His Name, bigger price, and if it is spin-off, for now we don't know if will be greedy dlc like in Infinity Wealth...Being a fan of series from PS 2 emulator Yakuza 1 and 2, now i fell milking cow...

Question, why would the New Game + dlc (something that for your information was already the case in Yakuza 7 in Japan) be greedy when from checking your collection, it's very clear you have never ever done any NG + in any Yakuza prior to Yakuza 8 despite the fact that they had free NG+ included.

Why do you pretend to care for something you have never made use of, and will never make use of anyway.

No one asked for this ? what are you talking about ? a Majima Gaiden has been in the top of what the fans asked for among the Yakuza community, so no if you think no one asked for this, then it just means you are a tourist, look around !
And for the record, Yakuza Gaiden sold even more than Yakuza 7, so your opinion is simply discarded.
This is hardly the Majima Gaiden people asked for, this is basically a fantasy spin-off, not the mainline series / regular Gaiden spin-off like Kiryu's one recently. It doesn't fit anywhere in the timeline.

And where's your claim of that "selling well" coming from?
Fits just fine to happen after 8.

There's basically been a Yakuza or RGG game released every year since 2005 but NOW they're milking it? Lol. Lmao even.

Why I should tolerate what some kind of option now is DLC with price?Modern Kiwami 1,2 and Yakuza 7 HAVE not a NG+ for money. And thanks to a lot of factors, this new standalone DLC is already more pricey than RE 4 remake.I smile when in Yakuza saw same maps, npc or similiar mini-games through alll franchise. Also Sega through last Yakuzas and Ishin sell consumables for SINGLEPLAYER!!How it can be good?

Globally, Yakuza or Like a Dragon is good.Zero is have best fighting, two Main Characters.Kiwami is remake but has old fight system, like a duel, Kiwami 2 has new engine(second attempt) which is good. Yakuza 3 is first game in new engine for PS 3 and preserves bad for now.4 and 5 good, but four main characters make me struggle to follow the plot)) Yakuza 6 Song of Life is good, but have troubles with new engine(first attempt), no stable fps for all game! Judgment 1 and two are good and have more realistic and mature characters and plot, IMHO. Like a Dragon Ishin is crap, looks like lazy auto-remaster like GTA:DE.Like a Dragon 7 is good.LaD The Man who erased his name still in my back catalog.

This is some utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ next dimension nonsense.
I wish this was spin off done otherwise.
It's jsut not making sense this 'setting'.
It can be wacky/crazy/cool/weird, but it's just zero sens bs.

Why should they care about the opinion of someone that never made use of that said option ever anyway ? you are not the public for it, stop pretending you are.
Also please for your own sake, learn the meaning of DLC, this is not a DLC, this is not a DownLoad Content.
And finally they can sell whatever they want, you don't really have any reason to buy any consumable for Ishin, they are completely useless, you are not the public for it either.

So i repeat my question because your answer was all over the place, why do you care now about something you never made use of, but suddenly you pretend as if it's the most important thing ever ?

People were NOT asking for a Majima Gaiden Game like the older games. They just wanted a Majima game PERIOD.

They didn't ask for a Majima game like this because they never thought it was possible.

People would be happy to get a Majima game any way they could take it. If there was a Majima game where he was selling used cars in Alaska while spending his spare time as Boy Scout leader then they would still be happy to buy it.

No idea on what these people are on about. The game hasn't even came out and i'm from the looks of it, it's goign to be my favorite just cuz of Majima, and i don't think i'm alone in this, since Majima is still probrably the most popular character in the series even though he was the main character only once
Kaws023 23/set./2024 às 17:43
people can't try something new when they're already used to the old one
It's normal

I think the main problem is that the game has become too westernised. The previous one had already lost a lot of the charm that made it different from the rest, and now they've gone a step further by removing all traces of Japanese culture and Yakuza-related stories and reusing all the assets like Ubisoft does. I know it's forbidden by law in Japan to release games that romanticise the Yakuza, but I don't think westernising it is the best solution. But well, they'll know. In the end they'll kill the saga for sure. Sega wants to make it the Japanese AC by releasing at least one game per year. So we can only expect the worst. Let us hope that Jugdment does not follow the same path.
If its forbidden by law then what in the 10 hells is the last 10 games set in Kamrocho about?!? Its only since 7 they changed the name to Like a Dragon, But even then its the same thing as Resident Evil/Biohazard. They wanted to give the series a new lease since 0 went so well and many people in the west didnt know Yakuza at all.
If Yakuza and RGG games in general are so repetative, then how come each one in the series is a banger, unlike AC? Keeping the cycle of mainline and Gaiden beatem ups keeps both camps happy and we still get other games on the side. Its only really fatigue if the ideas stop, so far they are cookin.

AC was also a banger till Odyssey (included).
