Big yakuza fan, this is a disgrace to the series. I mean seriously a pirate? this is like a joke. I know there are some missions and side quests that are usually funny, but the main story is about being a FRIGGIN PIRATE? no. absolutely not. Shame on the developers for making some random theme just to get people into the series. Everyone likes the turn based combat, not this combat system. A spit in the face of long time fans.

I believe Sega said that the mainline games will continue to be turn based, but the spinoffs (Judgement series, Ishin, The Man Who Lost His Name, and this) would be action games.

Honestly it's the best of both worlds. I don't know why anyone would complain, unless they were looking for something to complain about.

As for not liking the new tone... ever played Dead Souls? Side games in this series need no filter, and that's why we love them. (Kind of like Majima himself, actually)

I'm not a fan of this series. I don't even think I've played a game in this series before. This looks so absurd and fun that it's an instant buy for me. The same can be said for Kingmakers.

Let's hope so. I started this series with the turn based ones and recently I played Ishin. Awful combat due to camera but I am a sucker for their substories and mini games so I can't wait for Hawaii. But I still hope the one next year will be turn based.

When are you going to start talking about the game? I've been talking about it in many threads and with many people, but you've only come here to pick a fight with me. You're not talking to ANYBODY about the game. You picked up on a comment that was THREE months old, essentially a whole season, and got on my "deezly" FIRST, you nut. Not the case for everyone. I'm like a third of your age, these are my favorite games and the beat em style is what I love about these games. The turn based is okay, but Lost Judgment is peak combat for me.

I own most the series but the drop in quality from 0 to 1 was so massive I gave up on it before getting very far since I don't generally like skipping entries. This looks mostly unrelated so I'm hoping its good. I've wanted a decent pirate game for awhile.
