Lost all my progress

Hey,

Ive had this problem for a few days now but i just thought it was the btd server or something.
When i play the game im back to rank 1 ive lost all my medals, challenges, special buildings etc.
The only thing i have now are my achievments

How can i fix this, please respond
And sorry for my bad english

Try to convalidate steam files ;)
(game-proprieties-local files-convalidate-check if your problem gets solved) (and sorry for my english but I'm italian)

I'm really sorry that's happened. Dod you remove the cgame from your computer at any point, or did you see a crash prior to this happening?

I didn't remove the game and the last time my game crashed was long before i lost my progress.Thanks for replying

Unfortunately, all game data is stored locally so we've no way to restore it, I'm afraid. However, in future, be sure to make use of the built in Steam cloud feature (located in the game's settings menu) to back up your data, and that should help protect your progress :)

same here was at high lvl as u can see at my achievments for the game, now i have all lost now buildings no research nothing really anoying....

I had the same issue, when i was level 120~ish and lost everything, I just thought to myself, ah my cloud will fix it. NOPE, my cloud was gone too. I have my achievements and in-game purchases, but all of my progress is gone. all specialist buildings maxed? gone. $100k monkey money saved up? gone. I really hope that there is SOME way to get it all back or else its 175 hours down the drain. I don't have many achievements, but that doesn't mean I don't play.

the Cloud feature also has issues, I've luckily not recently lost my save file recently (although it has happened to me before which caused me to find out about and start using the cloud feature), however for a few months now atleast the cloud backup in settings does not work
--if I select to overwrite my cloud backup it acts like it works, but as soon as I close and reopen the game the steam backup shows the old backup from the last time it was actually successful
