About coop
How banana farm work in Coop?
I can collect bananas, my friend can collect, but if I collecting his bananas, it give me nothing...
What if he collected my banana, can I still get cash for it?

For some reason, bananas being picked up on the PC version doesn't behave the same as how they do on the mobile versions in terms of syncing. I've noticed that if I cooped someone on the mobile version while I'm in the PC, the bananas do update properly; as where both being PC do not. Mobile with mobile is out of the question.

I may assume its a sync bug since bananas picked up must go to their respective owner.

Because of the historic instability of Steam BTD5 Co-op mode, I have hardly played any Co-op games under Steam BTD5 but have long completed all Co-op maps/difficulties in the original Flash BTD5 Co-op.

The way the original Co-op Flash BTD5 version works for Banana Farm collection is this:

- each player can only collect the Bananas produced by their OWN farm.

This is the only way that it would make sense and if the behavior is anything other than this, then I would have to say it is a bug.

This is clearly one of the main reasons for having a REQUEST CASH / SEND CASH function in Co-op.

All strong, expert and smart Co-op players will do the same thing: one player will do nothing but FARM, sending the other player $$$ so that other person can build towers.

The above is the smartest, most efficient way to play Co-op.

No need to trust me on this - think about it...it's as obvious as the nose on your face. :)

Also using a banana farmer fixes the sync issue for both PC sides having to pick up bananas. It even sends the money to your side as long the banana farmer is not owned by you and if your banana farm made that banana stack.

Just that hovering over them is not synced properly.

Huh...then you're probably right...there probably are severe sync issues with Co-op.

Logically, those sync issues make sense - PC game version connectivity to a mobile version would surely create more possibilities for sync/connectivity issues due to such radically different platforms and processing speed differentials.

TBH, I always kinda thought NK was asking for trouble with both Battles and BTD5 Co-op by trying to integrate games between Flash/Steam versions and mobile versions.

IMO, PC Flash Co-op players should only ever match up with other PC Flash Co-op players...with the same for mobile matchups.

Guess we need to wait and see what NK says on this...

For BTD5 flash players are only ever matched with flash players and steam/mobile players with steam/mobile. For BTD Battles it is flash vs flash and mobile vs mobile. There is no integration between the games for any sort of co-op

There is an issue with bananas beign picked up by the mouse in co-op. I believe it only happens when the mouse is over the farm when the bananas are spawned. The farmer does not have that issue becuase it renders the collection of the bananas on both players screens. One way they could fix this issue of seeing the bananas it to remove the other persons bananas like it is in flash otherwise with the lag that the internet connections have that sync issue or one very similar will probably always be there.

^ Yeah, sorry, you're right - Battles is only Flash PvP...no mixing of game versions there. THANK GOODNESS. Don't know how I could have made this error! lol

Again, your theory does make sense for this issue then. Definitely would seem to be an issue related to syncing mouse actions on screen.

thanks for the correction,

You can only collect your banas to recieve cash, collecting your partners banas is just a visual glitch, you wont recieve money, and on their screen you did not get the banas. However, if you or your partner places a bana farmer; it will collect you or your partners banas, but whoever owns the bana farm those banas are coming from will get the cash!
