With a 3/x Village, any tower under the coverage of that Village will yield more in-game MM cash for every bloon popped.
But only those towers who are under the coverage range of the 3/x Village.
thanks
NP...
Yeah, the only time range has any impact on Villages is when you upgrade to 4/x HEB Laser. Then, yeah, the Village will become an attacking tower and yes, then it will only attack bloons within its circle of range.
glad to help...have fun!

PS:
If you really want to see how much the cash increases by using 3/x Villages to cover your towers, I think you can just go to Sandbox mode.
Make a Sungod or TechTerror. Send a single BFB. Note how much money you get from killing the BFB and all the child bloons.
Then make the same tower under a 3/x Village. Send the same single BFB. Now compare the income difference.
EDIT:
Never mind. I just tried Sandbox - unfortunately, Sandbox does not show you how much money you make for each bloon type you kill.
So you'll just have to trust that NK has coded 3/x Villages properly. :)
There should be no issue at all since this upgrade has been around for AGES in Flash BTD5. Trust me, if it was not working the way it should, the NK community would have screamed bloody murder long, long ago.
