Strong to expert+ players can complete map difficulties in these approximate times:
Easy - 7-9 minutes
Medium - 10-12 minutes
Hard - 18-22 minutes
Impoppable - similar to Hard difficulty
Based upon these times, TBH, I really don't see the need for what you are requesting, at least not for normal solo play games up to round 85. The games are all reasonably short already.
The only exception where your suggestion may be useful is in super-high round games: on Steam BTD5, I would categorized these as being games beyond round 250-300.

It just seems silly to make the game an AFK type game. Why not just make something to speed it up so it's not painful to play the first half of every game?
Also, auto-go for co-op would be AMAZING
I would not like an auto start round for quick match co-op because many people u play co-op with will not have an adequate defense without that downtime before certain harder rounds
I would be for auto start rounds on private match co-op games if both players had it turned on because private matches you are able to be gauranteed to play with a good player
But why don't you head over to NK and play the free Flash version?
They have an unlockable option to "Fast Track" any map.
Basically, it skips the first 30 or so rounds and gives you an estimate of the amount of income you would earn from popping those bloons.
The downside is for expert players - since they can farm heavily right from the start and have far more in-game money than what Fast Track will give them.
Another option would be that if all units are dead, then automatically send the next bloon. Most of the wait time is that there are pauses in-between bloons. I understand why this is, but if you're instantly slaughtering every bloon before it even makes it on the screen, there must be a way to send the bloons a little faster.
For co-op, totally fine if auto-start is only for private matches, OR if both players have it turned on.
Fast Track requires cash to unlock. I'm not going to do that for every single track, it's just not realistic. I'm trying to beat every track on all difficulties to get the achievements, so that wouldn't be an option.
I'm surprised so many people are against making the game go faster. Hard levels take about 20 minutes to finish, and you still have to beat easy and medium, even though you beat hard. In all, each level takes almost an hour to get its achievement, and the vast majority of the time you sit there with nothing to do because the game goes so slow. It's really an AFK game once you get double money. Why wouldn't it be a good thing to add something that makes the game go faster?
No need to pay for each track.
Once unlocked, you can enable it anytime you want for free.
Dunno about Fast Track in Steam BTD5 - I cannot check as I am in a super high round game right now.
Folks have been playing BTD5 for nearly 3 years. Not saying your suggestion is useless - as I mentioned before, for sure stuff along the lines you suggest could be useful in super-high round games.
The truth is, FF in combination now with the Steam BTD5 version which has auto-round start is more than adequate for the vast majority of people.
TBH, I am pretty sure that NK would not deem the time needed to add this into the game as being totally necessary for the benefit of the majority of Steam BTD5 gamers.
