Chest: Is 5 days in a row the highest?
I have managed to open the chest on the main screen now every for the past 8 days, however after day 5 it's stuck. Every day it says "5 Days in A row.
Is this a bug or simply the highest it goes?

Yep. 5 days is max for Steam BTD5 chest. Not really sure why...

In Flash BTD5 my Daily Chest streak is at ~1200 days.

Can't make the money too easy to come by, some players only play for sake of grind and to hit highest levels or unlock all the stuff. So making it too easy to get money will shorten the 'play time' of those sorts of players before they get everything and quit due to completion. Side effect, it artificially inflates the amount of time it takes for players who actually enjoy to the game itself to unlock stuff to enhance their gameplay, but the grind isn't bad like an F2P game or anything.

Personally i think you already get money far to fast. I have 23k monkey money left and all of the specialty building maxed out... if i remember correctly you get monkey money twice as fast as the mobile version and 4 times as fast as the flash version

Well...while I would normally agree with you on other games, your logic does not apply here for the Steam BTD5 Daily Chest.

The issue is how come the Daily Chest maximum streak is only 5 days in Steam BTD5.

Your theory doesn't apply here as the amount of money that you get every day is capped within a predetermined, random range - it does NOT increase every day.

Take for example the Flash BTD5 Daily Chest.

Like I said, over there I have nearly a 1200 day streak. But the amount of MM I get is no more than someone else who is at 3 days as the actual payout is capped within a specific random range.

So, whether or not Steam BTD5 maintains an "infinite" Daily Chest count or a 5 day limited count is actually the same.

The difference is that people won't be able to gain any kind of satisfaction from logging into the Steam BTD5 game everyday to see just how far they can get.

Your points are valid - just not applicable in this case to Steam BTD5.

:)

cheers,
-les

I think $160/day is nothing. Absolutely not worth making me feel like I HAVE TO login to claim that $160.
Right now I am at rank 67 and purchased everything possible in the store. I can't buy anything else anywhere anymore.
My cash is now at over $40,000, and I can't spend it.

Yeah, the truth is, at a certain point, Monkey Money [MM] becomes totally useless.

Sure, you could purchase endless amounts of Agents...I have like 50 of each now.

But I now have amassed nearly $70K in MM with nothing else to spend it on.

And I have it even worse in Flash BTD5.

:)

I got to that point on my tablet, so much cash I spent lots of it just to get 'pro' versions of all the agents. Working from bottom up on Steam version I'm spending the cash as I get it, if it came in faster I could get to the point of being able to choose whichever tower I want to specialize in and not fret about using one or two agents in a co-op match then the other play quits. The 'grind' is just right in the game at this moment, yes I wish it was less so I could get all the goodies sooner but it's really not that bad.

I am like that but agents make it to easy so I spend it and never use it

The funny thing is, I always had huge problems on hard. Once I purchased the Double Cash and Life upgrade for $7500, as well as several other smaller upgrades, even hard and impopabble difficulty becomes super easy.
I always build Banana farms super early and by round 50, I have around $400k left over. In coop I always give it to the other guy.

It really felt that bloons was challenging at the start, but once I purchased these upgrades, it became kids play.

With fully upgraded engineers I can beat many maps on impoppable now, no double cash just the extended monkey town upgrade.

Personally i will never get the double cash upgrade because of how trivial it makes even the hardest of tracks. I will almost always leave co-op matches if i notice the person i am with is using double cash.

then again i have to say i dont play with agent users and unless i am playing impoppable i always keep my monkey lab upgrades turned off so my opinion on using premiums may be very biased
