(And they also have bloon traps that give a boatload of money)
Bloonchipper rapes bloons like a child molester at the school fair.
Spike factory because at the 2/0 upgrade it kills metal pieces of ♥♥♥♥ and camo.
EDIT: Made my post more clear.
Although, I'll often use different tower types in conjunction with each other, such as Glue (with corrosive) and Ice:

But in most cases I use the arctic wind combined with other towers.
- everyone probably has their FAVORITE towers, but honestly, there really is no such thing as a "best" tower in BTD5 games. :)
The more you play BTD5 games, the more you realize how deep the gameplay actually can be. It probably doesn't take very long to realize that not all towers are great for everything - instead, part of what makes good tower defense games IMO is to have lots of variety of towers with their own individual strengths and weaknesses. And BTD5 has this in spades.
I am personally old skool - I still find Supers [especially with Specialty Building active] to be the "best". With Specialty maxed out, Supers have automatic camo detect. But even for Supers, the 2 paths offer different advantages.
Right side Super upgrades are good against the small stuff but better at blimps.
Left side Super upgrades are good against blimps but better at the small stuff.
Clearly, Engineer is an excellent, low cost tower that can be effective when spammed against all bloons.
Sub is also pretty good and cost effective and the ability is devastating against even groups of blimps.
I could go on and on :)
Still, I think it comes down to personal preference of course and that is why BTD5 is so great - so many ways for people to play and have success.
But of course, to go to super high rounds [round 500+], you gotta have basically 3 things:
- "strong", correctly created Temples;
- lots and lots of Snipers;
- lots and lots of 4/2 Chippers.
cheers and have fun!

Yep, you're definitely right!
But you go to round 500+?!? Holy crap! To be honest I would have gotten bored by round 100 XD
But yeah, it really is personal preference.
And thanks for telling me about the Supers' upgrades, to be honest I never really saw the point of having a Super Cyborg when you could have a Sun God (other than cost).
And you have fun too! ^_^
As for my own highest rounds?
- In Flash BTD5, I have gotten as high as r350+ in Apop mode;
- In Flash BTD5, I have gotten as high as r300+ in normal Solo Play;
- In Flash BTD5, I hold the all-Time legitimate Co-op record with my buddy Crushbeast at round 221.
And in Steam BTD5, I have a solo game still active right now at round 1056. XD
I will post screenshots soon, but I believe in Steam BTD5 I am the 3rd player ever to have legitimately passed round 1000...
First person I know of here was user TheLapasRider [his screenshot can be seen under Steam artwork].
Second person I know of to have crossed r1000 in Steam BTD5 is DalekRuler [who posts on the classic NK forums].
Oh and I am also the #1 player all-time in Flash Battles. ;)
cheers!

Dude, you should get some sort of huge reward or something.
That's amazing!
lol...nah...
I just love the BTD5 games. In fact, honestly, they are the only games I have time to play - I truly don't do any other gaming at all.
As for those high rounds? Many of us who love BTD5 also love to try and see how far we can push the game [and our machines]. It takes strong knowledge of the game, decent computers and of course, a lot of DEDICATION.
XD
cheers and have fun!
