Bloons TD5
Has anyone actually committed to getting all the achievements?
I cant imagine the amount of hours needed. I want to complete this game, but im not sure it's possible.

I am pretty sure its possible and I will try to. I would say around 300ish hours, maybe less if you find someone decent to play coop with. I am cureently at 59%(74 out of 125) with 74 hours.

FIrst, to the OP...

Sure, I AM committed to getting all the Steam BTD5 Achievements. Currently, I have all the solo play Achievements [completed in a fairly short amount of time due to massive experience with Flash BTD5] EXCEPT for the idiotic Steely Achievement [250,000 lead bloons popped is just ABSURD, given how relatively FEW lead bloons there are even in a full 85 round game - and there are basically ZERO lead bloons that appear beyond round 85].

The problem now is Steam Co-op.

I have not played much Co-op at all because of the early crash/disconnection problems with that mode - it was a waste of time to even try.

However, since then, there have been updates to Co-op and I understand it is now much more stable.

But what I need now are 2 things: time to play and roll through Co-op [using all Premiums and Agents and such] and I also need good, experienced BTD5 players who also want to simply get the Achievements done as quickly as possible. Honestly, playing Co-op with random partners is quite often also a complete waste of time [due to disconnectors, troll players, etc]

So, Co-op is a work in progress.

@pizzascience:

The Steam reported time played for me in Steam BTD5 is 100% WRONG. lol

Absolutely no way I have played 1000s of hours.

The reason is this: I normally have the Steam BTD5 game up and running CONSTANTLY on my machine[s]...even when I am NOT actively playing. The Steam reported time is bugged obviously - it counts how long the game is started and running, but not the ACTUAL playing time.

:)

Well you relize it's not that hard 'cauz if you think about it there are people in tf2 with thousands of legit play time and they don't have all 512 achievements and no one says any thing about them and this only have 112 wich can be gotten a lot faster.:steamhappy::demoticon:

Personally i care not at all about achievements i just want to get all of the medals for every track... both the single player and co-op and i want to do co-op with mostly random people

I honestly wish you much luck with the Co-op thing, especially playing with all random matchups. That is going to be a very hard road for sure, with many roadblocks. :)

By far the easiest way to grab all Co-op stuff is for 2 good, experienced BTD5 players who share the same goals and methodologies - using all Premiums, Agents, Specialties and systematically rolling through each map, one after the other, one difficulty after the other.

If I were to pair up with a fellow good BTD5 player, we could easily roll through all 3 difficulties of a single map in about 45 minutes. Then rinse and repeat for every map.

Personally, I still need to find both the time and the partner to do such a thing. :)

Less fun? Sure it is...more like "work". But different folks have different goals.

Anyway, good luck!

cheers,

@les i have already done all co-op maps on hard and medium difficulty with random matches for all but like 7 or so tracks... currently working on impoppable but i may need to have a good player to do that cause i have had no luck so far with random people on that

You can build a lead-regrower-farm in the wizard's special mission. With it you can get the achievement in only one match.

Interesting. Have you actually done this successfully?

I know a fair bit about BTD5 games but admittedly am very poor at setting up regen farms - I never saw the point or the need.

However, if what you suggest is actually workable for Steely, then yours is the very first suggestion I can recall around here which may be actually be useful with Steely.

Can you please consider posting a thread with some decent step-by-step instructions on how to do this?

I just gave it a few whirls and it ain't happening. :)

I am also quite sure that MANY FOLKS around here would very much appreciate it.

Much thanks in advance,

I did. But only with the last 30 000. I already had 210 000 by playing bloons many times :)

The first regrow-leed-bloons appear in round 5. It ist much easier if you activate the double cash mode. Made the first 4 round on your own...

a) sell all towers
b) put a 1/2 glue gunner and a banana farmer pro at the first thid of the way to the wizard
this should give some time to regrow to the bloons
c) the banana farmer needs a farm...
d) if the banana farmer cought a banana he is able to act without the farm. Sell the farm.
e) use an ice tower beside the wizard and upgrade it to 3/2

Now you'll have a small farm wich can be handled simply. if you upgrade the glue gunner to 1/3 the party starts...

Prepare for much lagging from the ice tower (sell it, if your defense is good enough)

f) by some good defense behind the wizard and more 1/3 glue gunners in front of him.

I hope this could help. And if you want to, you can open a thread... :D
