Just google BTD5 and see for yourself. :)
Got no sales figures for Steam BTD5 though.
In the end, the only thing that matters is that YOU enjoy the game.

Sure, never any reason not to ask. :)
I do that because there have been a series of games based around the core of BTD5. After the introduction of BTD5 Flash Online 3+ years ago, NK also came out with, in order as I recall:
- BTD5 Deluxe
- BTD Battles
- BMC [Bloons Monkey City]
- BTD5 Mobile
- BTD Battles
- Steam BTD5
All of the games above share essentially the same graphics, overall map designs and most importantly, the same towers that are present in every game all look and work the same way. Even the Battles games have exactly the same towers as normal BTD5 [although Battles Mobiles does have a few different ones as well].
I do not lump in BTD3, BTD4 or even Bloons Super Monkey 1 & 2 together with the BTD5 family of games since they are either much older or radically different games.
It's just how I keep the NK family of bloons games straight in my head. :)

Another question: what is BMC and BTD Battles about? I saw ads and stuff for them but I never really went to them.
BTDB : Essentially a btd5 where bloons doesn't make cash when popped instead you get passive income which can be increased (or decreased) by sending bloons against your opponent. So you attack and defend at the same time.
^ Yep, right on both counts. :)
Though I would add and stress that what makes BTD Battles unique is that it is the first BTD5 based game where it is PvP [player versus player].
