Any Way to Transfer Progress?
I switched over to a new computer and thought steam would sync the data/progress I made in the game over as well... it didn't.

Does anyone know a way to sync the progress over like on BTD Battles (mobile)? Or is there simply no way and I have to restart all over again? (I probably won't bother but damn... I wanted to try the Mastery...)

First, I would suggest contacting NK directly and asking them...if you still have the old machine around there may be a chance:

support@ninjakiwi.com

Flash BTD5 --> Steam BTD5 progress transfer: 100% NOT possible
BTD5 Mobile --> Steam BTD5 progress transfer: MAYBE possible, but cannot say for sure

I THOUGHT I saw some threads around here that talked about this kind of thing. Try searching the boards here while you wait for NK to reply.

Or I am sure other peeps here will also jump in and respond.

cheers and good luck,

Did you back up your save on the old computer using the steam cloud save feature available in the game... the game does not auto save to the cloud like other games you have to tell it to do so.

I was asking the op if he had backed up his data using the steam cloud on his old computer and telling him that there is no auto backup to the cloud on btd5 like there is on other games

I've started 3 times now. First on android tablet. Played that for like a year on and off. Bought everything. Then got Steam version a few months ago on a good sale. At point where I was beating impoppables non-stop and bought most things. Just now got new android phone and starting fresh again, just have the dart monkey building maxed and the extended range buff for the monkey village and now playing impoppable again. And beating them again, way sooner with less stuff this time. Doesn't hurt to go back to basics a time or two, each time I did I got better.

Yeah...this is a good point you make. :)

Leveling up to the max tower upgrades and such is actually not such a big deal [actually, if you play 1-2 games and go as far as you can, even starting from XP rank 0, by the time you finish, provided you do it right, you can pretty much max out all the towers fairly quickly].

As you say, doing things again will definitely improve your overall level of play since you gotta start with the basics all over again.

What is annoying and time consuming however is losing all the MM and in-game premium purchases you made previously. This stuff definitely takes a lot of time to recover.

cheers,
