Banana Farms

At what point do you start buying and upgrading banana farms, and at what point do you stop?

Between Round 3 and 7 (depend on the difficulty) I buy the first farm and 1 farmer. Then I max the farm to 4-2 and then buy 7 more farms around the farmer, whenever I can afford some dollars. These 8 were always enough. On several maps there is not enough space for 8 farms around one farmer. Then I'll try to have at least 5 farms to get enough income.

What ends up happening for me is I buy them more than 15-20 rounds in and end up focusing most of my money into them. Is it better to start this earlier and spend money on upgrades or other turrets when threatened?

I only buy tower or tower upgrades when it is very critical that the bloons get through. You'll get a feeling for that by time. Otherwise I upgrade the farms or buy a new one until I reach enough.

It is better to start as soon as possible and maintaining the minimum required defence. Farms take about 10 rounds to pay for themselves.

I start farming usually about round 6-7 because i don't use the monkey lab, premiums, or agents. Get you first farm and get it up to 2/0 then buy a new farm and repeat that until you have 4 or 5 2/0 farms. Get a village and upgrade 1 of those to 3/0. Save up the required money to get a 4/0 (sell value of your 2/0 farms + current money... i would give a number but it changes with labs and difficulty) sell your 2/0 farms and upgrade your 3/0 to 4/0 then to 4/2.

I wouldn't get more than 2 4/2 farms because you will already be swimming in moneys. I can get 2 4/2 farms set by 46 on an advanced track on impoppable with the dart specialty building. I do rely on minimal defence to stop the first the first moab but my defence for round 85 is usually finished by round 68 where i can walk away from the game and let it win for me.

I start as soon as possible. So you have to find out, which Monkey have the best damage/price. So spend as little money as possible for monkeys and give it all for the bannana-farms. Build the whole map full of B-farms, so place, if possible, the monkeys on a place, you can't build a B-farm because of the free space. Then try to build the Monkes everywhere, but not at the place from the B-Farms. Then, if you have build the whole map full of Monkeys, start to delet the B-Farms.

You also can calculate, which upgrade is the best. For example, it is not good, to build one B-Farm and upgrade it to lv 4|2 first before you build the second B-Farm. So you can calculate how much Bannanas you earn per round per money. And it is also important, how long you have to wait for the next upgrade. the 4th upgrade cost a lot, so you have to wait really long and in this waiting-periode, you don't earn more money.

So first upgrade to level 1 or 2 (left), but not more or less, and then build the next B-Farm. Don't upgrade first to higher lv and don't upgrade on the right before you upgrade 4 times on the left.

i never liked wastting monkey money on something i can do (though admittedly i have lost because of the distraction aspect.)I always manually picked up the bananas until i can have the bank store and interest the stuff for me.
